About Me
Hi! I’m Max Convery, a math and computer science student at Amherst College. I offer one-on-one online math tutoring for high school and college students, including AP Calculus AB, pre-calculus, and algebra I/II. Sessions are personalized, interactive, and designed to build real problem-solving confidence for homework, exams, and beyond.Beyond math, I’m happy to share guidance on applying to schools, navigating STEM pathways, and tips from my own experiences in higher education.
My Lessons
All tutoring sessions are held online via Zoom and are fully one-on-one. I work through examples step by step using my iPad and digital whiteboard, so you can see exactly how to approach each problem and ask questions in real time. Sessions are 60 minutes long and are tailored to your specific class, assignments, and goals.My rate is $60 per hour, and I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can make sure tutoring is a good fit before getting started.

To get started, book a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll discuss the course you’re taking, what’s been challenging, and what you’d like to improve. This call is purely informational and helps determine whether tutoring is a good fit. From there, we can schedule 60-minute online sessions that fit your schedule.
